Virginia Marso has practiced law in Central Minnesota since 1978 when she joined Roger R. Schmitt and Ronald F. Johnson in East St. Cloud. She was the first woman in private practice in the area. From the beginning, her practice has emphasized family law as she sought to assist people through difficult relationship issues - issues which require more than just knowing what statutes say. A skilled family law attorney understands that legal problems involving families often require a more far-reaching approach than simply putting together a balance sheet. Ms. Marso attempts to find solutions which will meet the needs of not only the client, but the children involved as well. She is an able mediator and was the first lawyer-mediator in St. Cloud. She has mediated in excess of twenty years. In 2007, she went through a week long course, Solomon's Surrogates, to become a custody evaluator and has performed many studies since that time. She is often selected by her peers to serve their clients as a Parenting Consultant, which involves assisting disputing parents with difficult decisions. She relishes doing adoptions and performs agency adoptions without fee.
She looks forward to providing you honest, competent representation.
